2024  Silchester's First Living Advent Calendar

This December, we are excited to introduce a new festive tradition to our village—a Living Advent Calendar!

Inspired by the classic advent calendar, this event will transform Silchester into a magical trail of light and festive displays. 

From the 1st to the 24th December, a new window, decorated by our wonderful volunteers, will be revealed each night somewhere in the village, with displays illuminated from 4:30pm to 9:00pm. 

Once a window is revealed, it stays lit each night, creating a growing trail around Silchester. By Christmas Eve, our village will glow with 24 beautiful displays of Christmas cheer.

From the 25th to the 31st December, the full trail will remain lit, giving everyone a chance to enjoy the complete display over the festive period.
