Go Daft for Daffs - Sunday 29th October

Go Daft for Daffs

The Silchester Association is holding an event for families in the village on Sunday 29th October 2017. Our intention is to get younger members of our community involved in planting 1000 native daffodils in the centre of our village so that next spring our lovely village of Silchester will be a brighter and cheerier place.

We extend a warm invitation to all local youth groups as well though it would be necessary for a leader to come along to supervise the planting.

Start Time: 11am

Meeting Point: Pavilion Car Park on Silchester Common

Please bring a spade and an adult to supervise children under 16 years of age

Please wear appropriate clothing - it may be wet, it may be cold, it may be both!!

Main planting points will be

Near the war memorial

Near the playground

Inside the edges of the Common in the centre of the village

Near the school

If you are interested in taking part please pre-register your interest by contacting the Silchester Association committee or just come along on the day
