Silchester Scarecrow Trail 2022
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Silchester Scarecrow Trail
We had 13 excellent entries around the village and many families and friends visiting the Scarecrows during the half term week.
Thanks to the Pop up Café and Calleva Arms for selling and collecting in the maps.
Scores were very close. But we are pleased to announce the overall winner for best scarecrow is Deerhurst, School Lane
and the winning entry was the Fraser family who correctly got the anagram as “Queen of Hearts” – both win a voucher for the Pop up Café.
We will be hosting the event again in 2023.

Silchester Scarecrow Trail 2021
We hope everyone enjoyed the 3rd Silchester “superhero” scarecrow trail, we had 14 entries visited by many families over the October half-term

A special thank you to the Calleva Arms and Pop-up Café for selling and collecting in the maps and the Village Market for displaying our banner.
The scores have been counted and the winners are:

A winning entry from all the contestants who correctly completed the anagram was randomly selected,

Silchester Scarecrow Trail 2020
This was one of the few events that we were able to put on in the village during lockdown and it was great for families to be able to follow the trail during their daily exercise outings

We had a 'Jim Henson' theme this year and had some fantastic entries
Silchester Scarecrow Trail 2019
The first scarecrow trail in Silchester was a great success – we have received great feedback from lots of people who attended and enjoyed their walk around the village. All the entries were brilliant and it was lovely to see so many people walking around our village, We sold over 200 maps! – we hope to run the event again in 2020 and I hope you will be keen to enter again and we will get some additional entries from around the village
